The Foundry in London’s trendy Shoreditch shutdown on the 30th of May to make way for a luxury hotel on the site. A group of squatters occupied the building in protest against the gentrification of the area. London, UK. 28/06/10
The squatters are now under threat of eviction, with bailiffs scheduled to arrive imminently to clear the building for demolition. They say that they plan to resist the eviction and have barricaded all entrances to the building and chained themselves to the front door.
