Around 500 pro Israel protests gathered opposite the Israeli embassy to express their support for the attack on the Gaza aid convoy that left more than nine aid activists dead.
They were opposed by a much smaller counter demonstration of 100 pro Palestine supporters holding banners and chancing slogans

On the morning of May 31st, a humanitarian aid flotilla sailing to Gaza to deliver essential supplies was attacked by Israeli commandos.
There are unconfirmed reports that up to 20 activist were killed during the attack on the Turkish Humanitarian Aid ship the “Mavi Marmara”.
A number of British nationals from different organizations were on board and at this stage, it is not clear who has been killed.
The Stop the War Coalition, in conjunction with the British Muslim Initiative, Palestinian Solidarity Campaign and a number of Trade Unions called an emergency protest outside Downing Street.
Speeches were given by the heads of the various organizations including Kate Hudson, Loindsay German, Tariq Ali and Low-Key.
After the speeches, the crowd amounting to several thousand people made its way down Whitehall, past the Houses of Parliament and on to the Israeli Embassy.
London, UK – 16.01.10. The Gaza Remembrance ‘Die-In’ in Trafalgar Square, on Saturday remembered the 1417 men, women and children killed during the 22 days of Israeli attacks on Gaza a year ago. People held up sheets with the names and ages of those who were killed, and despite spells of heavy rain, a few staged a ‘die-in’. The event was organized by the International solidarity movement.

The Israeli army’s 22 day ‘Operation Cast Lead’ left more than 1,400 dead, the vast majority of them civilians, including nearly 400 children.

UK, London – 13.05.09. Protesters gathered in Whitehall opposite Downing Street to demonstrate against the visit of the new Israeli Foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman.
UK, London 29.04.09. – Pro-Palestine activists picketed the Israeli Defense force dance troop performance at the venue in Camden town. Zionists were celebrating 61 years of the Israeli state.
UK, London – 29.01.09. The Hillel Student Center in London hosted Colonel Geva Rapp, one of commanders of the recent ground operations in Gaza. Over 100 people assembled outside to protest against the Israeli war on Gaza and called for Rapp to be arrested for war crimes.
UK, London – 17.01.09. At the end of the demo for Gaza, a group of approximately 500 youths broke away from the main crowd and tried to reach the Israeli embassy. Two Starbucks coffee shops had their windows smashed on Shaftesbury Avenue.
